Zimbabwe Works envisions to change the lives of young Zimbabweans, especially the marginalised and excluded, by providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge and investment to overcome challenges in health, education and livelihood.
Established in 2021, Zimbabwe Works seeks to bridge the gap for young Zimbabweans and drive positive change in helping youth transition from lack of equal access to opportunities to having a chance to become successful citizens realizing their dreams of earning a meaningful livelihood and contributing impactfully towards the economy of Zimbabwe.
The organisation believes in healthy, educated, fruitful young people who have the right skill set to drive their own futures in their career paths as entrepreneurs or in formal employment.
Zimbabwe Works seeks to capitalise its technical expertise, offering a range of programs through partnerships and direct implementation. Our focus is on 3 key sectors.
Life skills training – to ensure young people have the skills necessary for full participation in everyday life. Vocational and technical training – that prepares young people to work as technicians or to take up employment in a skilled craft or trade.
Our efforts are on providing economic empowerment to ensure the people we serve receive relevant entrepreneurship and business development services, mentorship, market linkages, networking opportunities and access to finance; all these in order to start and grow successful businesses. Focus is on trade, manufacturing, agriculture and mining all within the formal and informal sectors. Entrepreneurship training – that enables the ability to develop, organise and run a micro, small and medium profitable enterprise and make a profit. Employment and work readiness training – development of skills and behaviors necessary to obtain and maintain a job.
In partnership, with local health governing bodies, various Government Ministries and nongovernmental organisations, our focus is on communities getting to zero new HIV infections, awareness against pandemics and against substance and alcohol abuse among the young and their communities. Zimbabwe Works youth initiatives promote healthy productive lives.

The project aims to economically empower marginalised young people through training them in market relevant skills and potentially profitable tailor-made technical skills, entrepreneurial skills and life skills that are relevant in today’s labour market. Young people are trained in skilled trade, and the training is layered with a soft skill, that will enable them to strive in a hostile economy. Through the project we partnered with Society of Saint Vincet de Paul (SSVP), who are responsible for identifying beneficiaries and providing training premises: while Zimbabwe Works provides training and support to the profiled beneficiaries.
